Pressure-driven purification for clean water at a lower cost

Ultrafiltration(UF) is a pressure-driven purification process that separates particulatematter from soluble compounds using an ultrafine membrane media.Ultrafiltration is an excellent separation technology for desalinationpretreatment, reverse osmosis pretreatment, and wastewater reclamation, as wellas for producing potable water.

With over 10years of separation-technology leadership in China and good reputation indifferent projects, we offer a portfolio of products designed for outstandingmembrane separation, extreme productivity and efficiency, and exceptionalreliability.

E-MEM UF technology center is equipped with advancedtesting and analysis equipment, and has a professional technical service team, which can provide customers with comprehensive and diversified water qualityanalysis services, convenient technical support and timely fault diagnosis, andsolve all kinds of complex problems for customers.

Superior to sand filters and traditional media filtration High-filtration performance, high recovery, and energy savings, high strength and Super anti-pressur

As with most conventional filtration methods, sandfilters and media filtration require consistent raw water quality to deliverquality effluent, which is not always possible. They also don't provide anabsolute barrier. Traditional media filters typically remove particles to downto about 5 microns.

Ultrafiltration (UF), however, does not suffer from thoselimitations. This technology uses an ultrafiltration membrane barrier toexclude particles 0.02 to 0.05 microns, including bacteria, viruses, and colloids, meeting increasingly stringent water-quality standards around the world, andproviding a stable, reliable, and consistent water quality.

When used as a pretreatment for reverse osmosis (RO), UF also helps reduce fouling of the RO membranes, which can lead to:

▸ Reducedchemical cleaning frequency and consequently, lower operating costs anddowntime.
The potential to operate RO at higher flux, with fewermembranes and vessels — leading to lower capital cost for the RO system.

E-MEM ultrafiltration modules are made withhigh-strength, hollow-fiber ultrafiltration membranes that offer the followingfeatures:

▸ 0.02μm nominal pore diameter to facilitate high-removal capability for bacteria, viruses, and particulates, including colloids.
▸ PVDFpolymeric hollow fibers for high strength and chemical resistance to getlong-term life cycle
▸ HydrophilicPVDF fibers for easy cleaning and high fouling resistant, and its wettabilityto help maintain long-term performance.
▸ Outside-inflow configuration for high tolerance to feed solids and the use of air scourcleaning
▸ UPVChousings, which eliminate the need for pressure vessels and are resistant to UVlight.

The outside-in flow configuration is tolerant of wide-rangingfeed water qualities and allows air scour cleaning. The dead-end flow offershigher recovery and energy savings. The pressurized vertical shell-and-tubedesign eliminates the need for separate pressure vessels and allows easyremoval of air from cleaning along with integrity testing steps.

The hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes are 1.6 mm outside diameter and 0.8 mm inside diameter and are made from PVDF polymer and PET supporting tube. The fibers are strong due to a combination of PVDFpolymer and PET supporting tube, an asymmetric membrane with smaller pores inthe active filtration area, and a high porosity substructure. PVDF membranesoffer high chemical resistance (e.g., resistance to chlorine) and are tolerantto temperatures of 45°C.
